Strong manufacturing expansion and a recovery in the retail sector are signalled in the latest figures from procurement leaders in the Eurozone countries. Analysts NTC Economics say the figures, based on information gathered from companies throughout Europe, show industrial production in the region continued to expand at an annual rate of almost 4 per cent in March.

Procurement leaders must join forceswith finance chiefs to produce savings figures, according to a report by a leading research organisation. The US-based Aberdeen Group says “tangible cost savings” are “by far the most important value metric” revealed by a survey of senior procurement executives.
